The wedding celebrations of Anant Ambani, son of billionaire Mukesh Ambani, and Radhika Merchant, daughter of Encore Healthcare CEO Viren Merchant ended with a final reception at Jio World Drive in Mumbai on Monday. As a departure from the previous meetings, the recognition was given only to the domestic workers of the Ambani family and employees of Reliance.
According to a report by the Economic Times, the invitees encompassed staff members from Antilia, Sea Wind, Karuna Sindhu, and various other Ambani residences, comprising teams involved in housekeeping, security, secretarial duties, operations, and maintenance. Thousands of employees and their families attended the ceremony to commemorate this joyous occasion. Meanwhile, Bollywood luminary Akshay Kumar, who was unable to participate in the wedding and earlier events due to testing positive for Coronavirus, graced Monday's event. He was accompanied by his wife, author, and columnist Twinkle Khanna.
Anant and Radhika exchanged vows in a lavish ceremony at the same venue on Friday. The event was a dazzling affair, graced by a host of luminaries from the entertainment industry. Notable attendees included socialite Kim Kardashian, Bollywood stalwarts Shah Rukh Khan and Rajinikanth, American singer-songwriter Nick Jonas, Hollywood actor John Cena, and Bollywood icons Salman Khan and Priyanka Chopra Jonas.
The Ambani family hosted the 'Shubh Aashirvaad' ceremony on Saturday, which was graced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and celebrities including Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Rajinikanth, Aishwarya Rai, Madhuri Dixit, Alia Bhatt, and Ranbir Kapoor.
Subsequently, a luxurious wedding reception was organized for the newlyweds. Similar to the wedding and the 'Shubh Aashirvaad' ceremony, the reception, known as the 'Mangal Utsav,' was attended by numerous celebrities.
The Ambanis kicked off the pre-wedding celebrations in March with a three-day weekend in Jamnagar, Gujarat, hosting over 1,200 guests. Among them were prominent celebrities such as Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Aamir Khan. The guest list also featured notable personalities like Bill Gates, Hillary Clinton, Jared Kushner, Ivanka Trump, Karlie Kloss, and Mark Zuckerberg.
